This website brings the Consulate’s services closer to your home or office, where you can download information that would suit your needs and requirements. It serves those who need documentation from the Consulate, those who want to do business with the Philippines, and those who simply wish to know more about the country. The site provides information on consular matters (like issuance and renewal of passports, authentication/legalization of documents, issuance of visas, civil registration), assistance to Filipino nationals permanently or temporarily residing under the Consulate’s jurisdiction, economic and commercial representation (promotion of trade, investments and tourism in the Philippines), and promotion of Philippine culture in Southwestern United States covered by the Consulate’s jurisdiction, i.e., Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.
Given the large number our Filipino-American clientele, we have a section that specially caters to the information requirements of Filipinos and former Filipinos. The site also contains a repository of useful links to Philippine government agencies, and other sources of information.

LOS ANGELES 27 August 2020 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles, in partnership with the United States Census Bureau, distributed information paraphernalia on the conduct of the 2020 United States Census to the Filipino-American community on 19 August 2020. This is part of the Consulate General’s effort to encourage the community to be counted by participating in the decennial census.
Census data determines the number of congressional seats given to a State and is the basis of Federal and State funding allocation. These are vital policy matters that impact the daily lives of Filipino-Americans.
The United States Constitution mandates the conduct of a general census every ten years. For the 2020 census, the Bureau has designated a Filipino-American partnership specialist, Mr. Eric Lachica, to coordinate the census campaign among Filipino-Americans in Southern California.
Participating in the census could be done by completing the form online, by phone, or by mail. Further information in this regard may be obtained from https://2020census.gov/en/ways-to-respond.html. END
